Coaching the whole person, not just the Athlete
When athletes first come to me, it’s usually for training plans and physical improvements—and those are clearly important. But those physical improvements don’t always guarantee peak performance when it really matters. There’s so much more to it than that.
So, what truly holds people back from performing at their best? It’s things like:

-
Work and life disruptions
-
Self-doubt and negative beliefs
-
Race-day nerves
-
Poor event planning or strategy
-
Self-sabotage or giving up when things get tough
-
Focussing on others rather than executing your best performance
I’ve coached countless athletes through these challenges—and faced them myself. That’s why I coach the whole person, not just the athlete.

My approach goes beyond superficial training plans and analysis. We’ll dive into the following:

-
Personalized, deep performance analysis and training tweaks - done in a way where you really understand the data from your training and racing.
-
Detailed teaching and explanation of key determinants of performance. What, exactly, are things like FTP, Vo2 max, Critical Power, Lactate Threshold, Zone 2 etc? And are they really as important as everyone seems to think?
-
Sport psychology techniques to tackle obstacles and setbacks. Everyone - everyone - has their own types of hangups ( I know I have plenty!), we’ll uncover yours and work on them.
-
Lifestyle analysis to identify what helps—or hinders—your progress. Practical, actionable strategies to overcome roadblocks as they crop up.
-
Exploring your motivations and what truly drives you. Understanding your values and how they influence your approach to success/failure.
This isn’t just about getting faster or stronger. It’s about elevating your performance in sport and in life. Because the two go hand in hand.
